Receiving inspection

Receiving inspection is an inspection to determine whether or not a product, component, or semi-finished product is acceptable. The purpose of receiving inspection is to determine whether products can be accepted from suppliers or subcontractors, and to ensure that products that do not conform to standards are not passed on to production processes or customers. It also clarifies the responsibility for quality.
