Crimping process

"In wire harnesses and cables, crimping is a processing method in which physical pressure is applied to the connection between the wire and the metal terminal after the insulation has been stripped to make the wire and terminal adhere to each other and electrically connect them."

There are three main wire processing methods for wiring harnesses.

  • Pressuring
  • Crimping
  • Soldering
According to the drawing of the wiring harness, the wires and connector terminals are joined using the three processing methods.
